Sal is President and CEO of The Centennial Group, having been a part of the firm since 1994. Sal is responsible for implementing the firm's mission of being the premier financial service provider in each community that they serve.  He provides influence to The Centennial Group associates and clients to assist them with making smart choices about their finances.  In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Sal uses his expertise in business and estate planning as a contributing member of The Centennial Group’s deliverables team.  Sal uses his expertise to consult with business and individuals on multigenerational wealth creation and preservation. 

Sal began his career in 1979 in his hometown of Utica, NY with John Hancock Financial Services.  In 1988 he was the founder of The Brandon Group in Mountain View, CA which he subsequently sold to become the second generation leader of The Centennial Group in 1994. 

Sal is a member of the General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA), the Financial Planning Association, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and a founding member of the Premier Resource Group. Sal believes in giving back to an industry that has served him so well, and has been a speaker at numerous industry events as well as being published in many industry journals.  His topics have ranged from building a referral based culture, strategic planning, and leadership.  He has also been called on to serve the industry in an advisory board capacity, most recently serving on the National Advisory Board of Securian. 

Sal is very active in the Greater Lansing Community serving on the boards of Ingham Regional Healthcare Foundation, River Terrace Enduring Gifts, and The Lansing Christian School Foundation.  He is extremely excited to discuss his accomplishment of being a founding board member of All of God’s Children.  This organization raises funds to support children that are placed in orphanages in places such as Russia, Zambia, and Mexico.  Sal believes in the philosophy that you can make a difference in the lives of others and your community.  It shows every day in the actions of those who are part of The Centennial Group. 

Sal and his wife Marcie live in Lansing with their two children Sal and Sam.  They love spending time going to their cottage “Up North” as well as golf, boating, and traveling our great country.
