Eric K. “Rick” Cooper joined Comprehensive Financial Services, Inc. (CFS) in September of 1988 after 12 years as a leading agent with the Business Men’s Assurance Company (BMA), where he was a consistent qualifier for the BMA All-Star Conference.  Rick became co-owner and President of CFS in April of 2002.  He qualified for the Guarantee Life President’s Cabinet twice and has earned fourteen qualifications for the prestigious Million Dollar Roundtable (MDRT).  Additionally, he has consistently earned the National Quality Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). 

 Rick is a 1975 graduate of Ball State University where he earned a degree in Business Administration.  Rick has continued his professional education by completing the Life Underwriter Training Council courses and earning that organization’s Fellow of the Life Underwriting Training Council (LUTCF) designation.  Rick has also completed two advanced insurance courses from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.  Rick is a registered representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc.

 Rick has been very active in the community, particularly in youth athletics.  He coached youth baseball and basketball teams in the Delaware County area for seventeen years.  While attending Ball State, Rick played three years of Varsity Baseball for the Cardinals and was selected co-captain of the team his senior year.  He remains active in Ball State athletics as a member of the Cardinal Varsity Club.  Rick has run the shot clock at BSU’s men’s varsity basketball games for many years.  Rick’s industry commitments include membership in the East Central Indiana Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors for the past 25 years. He has served on the Board of Directors for several years.  He has also taught industry insurance courses.

 Rick and his wife Debbie are active members of The Bridge Community Church in Muncie, where they have served in numerous capacities.  Their children are sons Jeremiah (wife-Nichole), a graduate of Ball State, Joshua (wife-Jill), a graduate of Taylor University, Caleb (wife-Megan), a graduate of Taylor University, and daughter Jordan (husband-Klif), a graduate of Ball State.  They also have 3 beautiful grandchildren.
